A bicycle and a graveyard

To touch the sky first you have to have the understanding that the sky is just as special or as unspecial as the ground. There are some people standing on the ground for a very long time. And that's not an easy job.

After telling this to Suvra Apu, she listened to me with a very straight face. And then said, in one line, "that means nothing matters".

Hm, I thought. I knew I've written a very tacky line. Still, I just wanted to share this with her. She is the one with whom I can share my deep philosophical thoughts, and then get teased- happily. And this time wasn't very different either. A few moments later, while resting my head on her lap on the lookout overlooking the city of hamilton- a thousand lights turned on in the sleeping city. I said, "So many lights!"

She was caressing my hair, her fingers started shaking from her laugh. She said, "Lights are as special as the darkness, and as unspecial...." She couldn't finish her sentence.

We both laughed for a long time. It was refreshing. I deserved that, I dug out my own grave.
